Department of Employment and Labour Release Call for Comment on Draft Construction Regulations

The Department of Employment and Labour (DoEL) this week released a Call for Comment on the draft Construction Regulations 2024. Interested persons who wish to comment on the regulations can do so within the 90-day period provided. The gazetted document of the draft regulations includes a Call for Comment form (Annexure A) as well as the contact details of the relevant DoEL representatives who will be collecting all comments.

The South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) encourages industry stakeholders to read through the draft regulations, and submit any comments to DoEL within the provided deadline. It must be noted that all comments should be submitted to the DoEL contacts provided (these are included within the gazetted draft regulations); please do not submit comments to the SACPCMP, as the Council will not be responsible for collecting comments regarding the draft regulations.
