Minister Macpherson encourages public and industry stakeholders to submit comments on the Integrated Social Facilitation Framework by 20 June 2025, following its gazetting and strong public interest.
The framework aims to formalise social facilitation in infrastructure projects to reduce construction site disruptions and counter the influence of the so-called ‘Construction Mafia’.
The Minister emphasises that proactive community engagement is key to preventing misinformation and ensuring inclusive, secure, and effective infrastructure delivery across South Africa.
