SACPCMP POLICY ON CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT According to the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Standard Glossary of Terms Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is defined as, “a range of learning activities through which professionals ensure that they retain their capacity to practice safely, effectively and legally within their scope of practice.” The concept of CPD ascribes to the notion of lifelong learning, as put forward by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) and the National Skills Development Strategy.
